Kenya Honeymoon Treasure - 11 Days
Day 1
Nairobi - Ngong House
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your truly inspirational Ngong House where Paul Verleysen, the charming owner, has provided the ultimate luxuries of space, light, and true style. Situated on the outskirts of Nairobi, on 10 acres of private land, it offers peerless views of the mist Ngong Hills and the surrounding countryside. Day at leisure or go an excursion within Nairobi (entrance fees not included in the quote). Overnight at Ngong House (LDBB).
Day 2-3
Sweetwaters - Ol Pajeta Ranch House
Transfer to Wilson Airport to catch your scheduled flight to Nanyuki. You will be met and transferred to the intimate and exclusive Ol Pajeta Ranch. When you stay at the Ranch House, you have chosen to retreat back into history, to the bygone traditions of Kenya's farmhouse hospitality. The house was originally the home of Lord Tom Delamare, and subsequently the property of Billionaire Adnan Khashoggi, comprises of six elegantly appointed bedrooms overlooking extensive tropical gardens to the much frequented waterhole beyond.
Against the backdrop of Mt Kenya, the house is set in the private 24,000 acre Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary in which roam elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion and a myriad of other plains game. Here there are no crowds, no timetables, no rush. Meals and sundowners in the bush; Day and night game drives in 4x4 vehicles; escorted bird and game viewing walks, a ride on horseback through Acacia-covered plains, visits to the Chimpanzee Sancturary, and "Morani" Daphne Sheldrick's famous orphaned black rhino, or just relax beside on of the two swimming pools.
Overnight at Ol Pajeta Ranch House on full board basis inclusive of sanctuary fees, all activities, drinks (except champagne) and laundry.
Day 4-6 Masai Mara - Little Governors Camp
Transfer to the Nanyuki airstrip for your scheduled flight to Masai Mara Departing at 10h00. On arrival at the airstrip you will be met and transferred to your camp where you will spend the next three nights. Masai Mara is traditionally the lands of the Maasai. The Mara is basically open rolling grassland dotted with the distinctive flat-topped acacia trees tucked away in the southwest corner of the country.
Wherever you go in the Mara, the one certain thing is that you'll see an astonishing amount of game. Of the big cats, lions are found in large prides everywhere. Other cats include cheetahs and leopards. Other animals found here are elephant, buffalo, zebra, hippo, antelopes, giraffe, baboon, watt hog, spotted hyena and grey jackals. The highlight of the Mara is no doubt the annual wildebeest migration when literally millions of these beasts migrate into the Mara (July -August) which is truly a staggering experience.
Overnight at Little Governors Camp on full board basis and includes three game drives a Day and laundry.
Day 7-10
Kiwayu
Transfer to the airstrip to catch your scheduled flight to Nairobi. Catch your connecting flight to Lamu. You will be met and transferred from the Airstrip to the Village where you will spend the next four nights. Nestling between enormous ageless baobabs, almost invisible from the beach, we have created a dream for a couple expecting the perfect setting and total privacy, in the most aesthetically pleasing blend of architecture, comfort and scenery imaginable. A living room perched graciously under a baobab, leading a few steps to a dazzling bedroom with ensuite facilities, is all that exists on the small hillside.
A few more steps downwards lead to a pavillion on the edge of the water, perfect for Daytime lounging, refreshments and shade. Staff and boatmen are at your service and meals are served on three different locations:- bedroom/planetarium, beach house, dining platform. The beach is exclusively yours and the staff are invisible. Accommodation is based on full board basis. The activities included are windsurfing, goggling, mangrove trips, dhow sailing, water skiing and laser sailing.
Overnight at Kiwayu Safari Village full board basis.
Day 11
Breakfast and lunch at Kiwayu. Transfer to the airstrip to catch your flight to Nairobi. Transfer to JKI Airport for your onward flight (International flight price not included in the quote)
